She works for NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center. In April 2017, she became the first Deaf engineer to take an active role in the control room during crewed flight tests.

She went on to obtain a BS and MS degrees in Computer Engineering with a focus on artificial intelligence from RIT. She works for Texas Instruments where she writes and tests firmware for different battery gauging products.
